Sauvie Island, Portland, OR

Sauvie Island , Portland OR

We arrived in Oregon on the 17th of September and on Friday, Angela took us to Sauvie Island bordered by the Columbia River on on side and the Multnoma channel on the west side. The island is 26,00 acres with most of it a farming community. It is well preserved by the state and the local farmers of which grow a multitude of vegtables and fruits.

Depoe Bay,OR Saturday, 20 September 2008

Betty & Tom had the pleasure to visit Depoe Bay, OR with Adam & Angela and Jim & Martha.
It was the 53rd annual Depoe Bay Salmon Bake, baked Indian style.
For the 2008 Salmon Bake, over 2000 pounds off salmon was slow-roasted to perfection on alder stakes over an 80-foot-long fire line. The smell was wonderful.
